Gregory Gutfeld is an American television host, political commentator, comedian, and author, best known for hosting the late-night comedy talk show Gutfeld! He also hosted The Greg Gutfeld Show from May 2015 to March 2021 before the show transitioned to weeknights. Additionally, Gutfeld is one of five co-hosts and panelists on the political talk show The Five, both of which air on the Fox News Channel. From 2007 to 2015, he hosted Red Eye, a late-night talk show on the same network.

Gutfeld grew up in San Mateo, California, as the son of Jacqueline Bernice “Jackie” and Alfred Jack Gutfeld. Raised Catholic, he attended Junípero Serra High School, a Roman Catholic school, and went on to study at the University of California, Berkeley, where he graduated in 1987 with a degree in English. During his college years, Gutfeld’s political views evolved, stating, “I became a conservative by being around liberals, and I became a libertarian by being around conservatives.”

He later co-hosted The Five on Fox News, where his outspoken opinions and humor helped make the show a success.

In 2015, Gutfeld launched The Greg Gutfeld Show, which ran on Saturdays until it moved to weeknights in 2021 under the new title Gutfeld! The show has since become a ratings success, often surpassing The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in nightly viewership.
