Strategically sandwiched in the heart of Ikolomani Constituency (yes, it’s a real place), Bushiangala TTI is conveniently parked just off the Sigalagala–Bukura road. We’re about 10km from Sigalagala Junction, and 20km from Kakamega Town—close enough to civilization, but far enough that you won’t get distracted by urban temptations like milkshakes and matatu DJs.

Our Glorious Origin Story

Back in 1991, a noble squad known as the Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO), under the European Economic Commission, said: “Let there be skills!” And thus, BUSTTI was born as a center to upgrade the skills of Youth Polytechnic graduates, instructors, and managers.

But like all good stories, the plot thickened.
By 1993, VSO said “We’ve taught you well, young grasshopper,” and handed over the reins to the Ministry of Labour—who quickly swapped short crash courses for the real deal: Artisan and Craft courses.

Then came 2008, and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology swooped in like a career fairy godparent and took full control. Cinderella finally got her syllabus.

Spread out over 12 glorious acres (we’re basically a gated estate of brilliance), our campus features:
