Welcome to the Kamukunji Technical and Vocational College, where we turn dreams into practical skills and sprinkle a bit of laughter on the learning process.
The Kamukunji TVC Chronicles
Once upon a time, in the mystical land of Nairobi County, the government and Kamukunji Constituency Development Fund decided, "Why not build a place where dreams come true?" So, they gathered their magical funds – Ksh 43,740,660 million from the government and a cool Ksh 10,000,000 million from the CDF – and voila, Kamukunji TVC was born!
Now, constructing a college is no small feat, and who better to trust with such a task than the wizards of Murang’a University of Technology? They waved their construction wands, and on June 30, 2016, Deputy President H.E. William Samoei Ruto laid the foundation stone. The college was officially on its way to becoming the Hogwarts of vocational education.
Initially, Kamukunji TVC had a wise overseer in Nairobi Technical Training Institute (Nairobi T.T.I). Think of it as our Dumbledore guiding us through the magical corridors of knowledge. But wait, just like any hero's journey, Kamukunji TVC decided it was time to run its own show! The institute spread its wings and began orchestrating its own magical affairs.
Situated on a 4.7-acre plot – because bigger is better in the world of education – Kamukunji TVC stands proudly at 3rd Eastleigh Avenue. It's like the Shangri-La of vocational learning, with the Airbase Police Post as our trusty neighbor. We're in the business of spreading knowledge and good vibes!
And here's the kicker – Kamukunji Technical and Vocational College is not just a place; it's a center of excellence in hospitality, hairdressing, and beauty therapy. We're talking about turning bad hair days into magical makeovers and making hospitality so welcoming that even your pet rock would feel at home.
But, what sets us apart? It's not just the laughter in the hallways or the glitter in our beauty therapy labs; it's the state-of-the-art equipment, generously sprinkled by the Government of Kenya through our fairy godparent, Avic International Company of China. They made sure our learning tools are as fancy as Cinderella's glass slipper.
So, welcome to Kamukunji TVC, where education meets enchantment, and every day is a page from our magical storybook!
