Saving Lives Since 1954—With Style, Skill, and Sparkling Linens
Welcome to The Nairobi Hospital, where cutting-edge medicine meets five-star pampering, and where your spleen can get fixed while you binge-watch cable TV from bed. We’re non-profit, which means all our money goes into better machines, better care, and (probably) even fluffier pillows.
We’ve been diagnosing, treating, and impressing East Africa and beyond since 1954. If medical equipment were a sport, we’d already have Olympic gold.
Our Secret Weapon? Humans. Really Good Ones.
Our doctors? Brilliant.
Our nurses? Kind, professional, and can find a vein on the first try.
Our service? So good, your mother-in-law will think you own the hospital.
We respect your dignity, privacy, and right to press the nurse call button 17 times an hour.
We’ve done a lot of “firsts” here. Like what, you ask?
Kenya’s first private nursing college
First hospital in East Africa to offer hip replacement
First to pop in a duo-chamber pacemaker (beating hearts, literally)
First HPV cancer testing (before it was mainstream)
First eye bank (because we like to keep an eye on things)
Oh, and yes—first hospital in the region with brachytherapy. It’s fancy. Look it up.
Because as much as we love visitors, we also love rest and low noise levels:
Daily:
12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
We’re open 24/7 because illnesses don’t follow business hours.
NORTH WING (a.k.a. “The Hilton on the Hill”)
With marble bathrooms, Egyptian cotton, dedicated chefs, and rooms ready for ICU conversion (just in case), this is recovery with flair.

Private rooms – semi-private bathrooms
Ward beds – shared space, shared wisdom
Kid-sized luxury and cartoon-level comfort:
Deluxe rooms (so posh your child might grow up early)

Amenities: Child-friendly menu, indoor play area, fish tank, and yes—foosball.
Labour Ward:
12 ward beds, 4 private rooms, 4 en-suites
2 labour rooms, 1 theatre, wall-mounted TVs (because nothing says comfort like Netflix during contractions)
Maternity Ward:
En-suites for the VIP mamas
Lactation room
Main nursery for your brand-new roommate
Critical Care Unit (CCU)
16 rooms, including isolation and “smart glass” rooms
Staffed with 10 doctors & 54 nurses—some trained in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and all capable of saving your life while maintaining perfect hair.
High Dependency Unit (HDU)
For those not quite ICU-bound but needing close eyes (not creepy, we promise)
NICU
Where tiny humans get big care—up to 23 neonates can receive top-tier life support, phototherapy, and snuggles (professional, of course)
Built with love (and global funding), this facility isn’t just a pandemic pop-up. With 135 beds, ECMO tech (Google it, it’s sci-fi-level cool), and support for both UN and Kenyan patients, it’s staying for the long haul. Because viruses might mutate, but we adapt faster.
