Internationally, Sonia reported from The Hague, covering trials at the International Criminal Court and the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia. Her global reporting also took her to Africa and the Balkans, where she investigated war crimes, and to Paris, where she followed the journeys of Iranian and Afghan asylum seekers.
